We offer both land and seaplanes services with an emphasis on personal, professional quality service for our maintenance customers, while at the same time respecting budgets and deadlines.

STRUCTURES AND MAJOR REPAIRS
Major RepairAero Structure is approved by Transport Canada for the structural repair of all aircraft with a gross take-off weight of 12,500 lbs or less.
Our Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence endorsements are S31, S32 and S33.
S31 - Aircraft Wooden Structures
S32 - Aircraft Tubular Structures - Welding
S33 - Aircraft Sheet Metal Structures - Riveted Aluminium
Structural repair being our specialty, we have extensive experience in the field of major repairs resulting from major and minor accidents. We repair components such as flight controls, empennages, wings, aircraft floats, etc. We also repair welded aircraft tubular structures including final fabric and dope finishing.
We offer a full range of services from aircraft salvage to final painting to match the original finish of the parts repaired. We can also deal directly with your insurance broker and arrange payment directly with them.
We certify all our work and forward copies of our certification to the regional Transport Canada office.
No matter how light or severe the damage, from hail damage to hangar rash or vandalism, or for aircraft complete restoration, Aero Structure's personnel will do everything possible with a professional, courteous service to satisfy its customers.

MODIFICATION
ModificationWith aircraft ageing and replacements either not available or not affordable, more and more owners are opting to modify their existing aircraft.
There is a wide range of approved modifications on the market to satisfy each individual's desires, whether it be a performance enhancement through engine or airframe modifications, or esthetic improvements such as interior and exterior refurbishing, as well as improved navigational accessories and instrumentation.
Owners are realising that it is often better to keep and modify their present airplane, than the risk of purchasing a different aircraft with an unknown past.
If you like what you've got, let us help make it better.

WELDING
Transport Canada has classified aircraft tubular welding as specialized work and are demanding that AMO's demonstrate welding capabilities and qualifications over and above those necessary to obtain the S32 Structure AME licence.
Aero Structure has met these requirements and has demonstrated the ability to weld aircraft tubular structures to Mil Standard 1595A. Our welding equipment includes a state of the art TIG welding machine as well as oxy-acetylene torches, and our welders submit test weld samples for independant testing on a regular basis.

PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION
Thinking of buying? The seller will always tell you it's in perfect shape. Why not have an independant, professional opinion?
A pre-purchase inspection can be done while you wait and check such things as engine compression, performance, and oil contamination by metal particles. We inspect the airframe interior and exterior for corrosion. We verify airworthiness directive (AD) status and search for evidence of any previous repairs or damage history, both visually and in the aircraft log books. We also check life limited item status such as engine and propellor TBO, etc.
The minimal investment in having a pre-purchase inspection carried out is rewarded by peace-of-mind and by preventing unwanted surprises.
Our written report can also serve as a powerful bargaining tool when negotiating the final purchase price.

IMPORTATION
As with all government agencies, Transport Canada is no exception to the paperwork hastle involved when it comes to importing an aircraft from a foreign country. A thorough inspection, not only of the aircraft itself, but also of the log books and all related paperwork is necessary.
Engine and propellor overhaul status must be verified, previous damage history and modifications must be documented and the aircraft weight and balance report must be precise and certified.
The original registration letters must be removed and Canadian registration, meeting the size and location requirements, must then be painted on the aircraft. We submit the paperwork to Transport Canada and arrange for a government Airworthiness Inspector to inspect the aircraft in our facility, after which they will issue the appropriate certification.

EXPORTATION
When it comes to aircraft maintenance, Canadian aircraft are known worldwide for their high standards. This along with the advantageous exchange rate is resulting in more and more planes are being sold outside the country.
For a foreign buyer, Aero Structure can carry out a thorough inspection and install auxiliary fuel systems for long ferry flights. Alternatively, we can dissassemble and pack a wide range of aircraft models and accessories, including floats, in shipping containers.
We have frequently shipped aircraft by container as far away as Australia, Africa, and Europe.

PAINTING
PaintingAero Structure personnel have many years of experience in aircraft refinishing. Due to facility restraints, however, we are limited to painting what we repair (no matter how big or small the part or component). We pay meticulous attention to preparation, corrosion prevention, and final finish and color match to original. We also do fabric and dope work with painstaking attention to detail and workmanship.
It is quite often advantageous to have some types of work carried out while your aircraft is in the paint shop. It is an ideal time to do structural repairs sush as skin panel replacement due to corrosion, repair of hangar rash, airframe modifications, replacement of windows (this should be done after stripping of original paint and before new paint is applied), etc.
Aero Structure may also be subcontracted for the removal, reinstallation, and balance verification of flight controls during A/C refinishing.

MANUFACTURING
Aero Structure has received approval from Transport Canada for the manufacture of aircraft parts and components. Our comprehensive Quality Program and small staff ensures the utmost in quality because the actual work is carried out by the owners of the company themselves, not just an employee who doesn't have to answer to the customer. At the same time we realize the importance of our customers' deadlines and understand the necessity of getting the job done on time, even if extra hours are required. Our background and expertise is in sheet metal forming and assembly although we also offer the aircraft manufacturing community a wide range of talent, equipment and knowledge. We can build sub-assemblies, one time modifications, including final protection and painting of the finished product.
We own a 2100 sq. ft temperature controled facility with easy access to the Montreal Dorval and Mirabel areas. Pick up and delivery are available with our company vehicle.
We offer a detailed brochure outlining our company qualifications, equipment, and personnel as well as a copy or our QPM (Quality Program Manual) for revision and a list of references, upon request.
